Hard-of-Hearing Friendly Businesses

Ancient China Restaurant
2825 Valley View Ln (sort of in behind Big Lots)
Farmers Branch (972) 484-3223
(recommended by Darlene Liesner)
Ruth's Chris Steak House
17840 Dallas Parkway
Dallas, TX 76287
972-250-2244
Sort of a "hushed" atmosphere even when the restaurant is very busy.
(recommended by Janet and Jerry Morrow)
Los Amigos
202 East NW Highway
Grapevine, TX 76051
817-488-1441
We went on a weeknight, kind of late when it wasn't very crowded. It was quiet and the musak was not loud. May be different when the restaurant is busy.

Main Street Bread Baking Company
316 S. Main Street
Grapevine, TX 76051
817-424-4333
Although the main room can get noisy, there are two additional side rooms that are quieter. One of our party asked if the music could be turned down and they very kindly turned off the speaker in our area completely.

Tolbert's Restaurant
423 S. Main Street
Grapevine, TX 76051
817-421-4888
We sat in the area by the fireplace. Although the restaurant was fairly busy, it seemed the acoutics were such that this area was reasonably quiet.

Avatar Salon
8624 Davis Blvd.
North Richland Hills, TX 76180
817-428-1777
Stylist Laurinda, who Tamara saw, has her own little room which is much quieter than the usual salon atmosphere. Also has a loveseat in her area where another person or an interpreter could sit and not be in the way.
